Rent A Home For The Rock n’ Roll Arizona Marathon 2018

by weRentAZ | 17th February, 2017

Even if you missed this year’s run, it’s not too early to start making plans for the Rock n’ Roll Arizona Marathon 2018!

If you haven’t heard of the Rock n’ Roll Marathon, it’s the answer to the question “What happens if you cross a marathon with a music festival?”  Rock n’ Roll Marathons are held throughout the country, featuring 5K and 10K runs, with a number of rock, pop, and hip hop acts lining the course.  These aren’t minor local groups either!  Names like Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, the Goo Goo Dolls, Lady Antebellum, and Flo Rida have appeared in recent years.

It’s great for the fans and spectators, since they get a live show even once the runners have passed, and it’s great for the runners who get an epic soundtrack for their marathon!

The Rock n’ Roll Marathons have been gaining in fame and popularity, with recent years’ runs selling out both competitive spots and spectator seats quite early.  Next year’s marathon is scheduled for Jan 13-14, 2018, so attendees can enjoy the pleasant winter weather here in Arizona.  If you’re interested in attending, now is definitely the time to start making plans!

Arizona Vacation Rentals Are A Perfect Way To Be Part Of The Rock n’ Roll Marathon

Why stay in a cramped hotel when you could be living in style?  The Phoenix area has a booming rental home market that has highly competitive prices.  Arizona vacation rentals here often aren’t much more expensive than a nice hotel, particularly if you’re coming in a group or with your family, and you get so much more for your money.

Depending on the rental home you select, you can have:

  • Two or more bedrooms/bathrooms with plenty of room for everyone
  • A full-sized, fully-furnished living room
  • A fully-outfitted kitchen with fridge and prep space
  • A real working fireplace for cozy evenings
  • Luxurious finishing touches like stone countertops and tile flooring
  • A full garage to protect your car
  • Outdoor cooking spaces such as BBQ pits
  • Access to a private or community swimming pool

The grounds -and the pool, if included- are fully maintained, and most houses are designed to make inside cleaning easy.  Full furnishings mean you can move in and get comfortable immediately, or instantly rest and relax after the marathon.

Home Rentals For IRONMAN Arizona 2017

by weRentAZ | 27th January, 2017
If you’re thinking about visiting the Phoenix-Tempe area for IRONMAN Arizona 2017, it really isn’t too early to be making arrangements for your trip!  Now is the time to start exploring options in travel booking and Arizona vacation rentals, to ensure you have the best possible experience in November.

Why?  Because there are a number of factors that make IRONMAN Arizona unique, even among IRONMAN events.

1 – A late-year date.

IRONMAN AZ is usually the last IRONMAN event of the year.  This is, of course, largely due to Arizona’s weather.  It would be impossible to hold it during the summer, but November is a different matter.  November is one of the nicest possible times to visit Arizona – both the days and nights are extremely pleasant.

2 – An urban focus.

Most IRONMAN competitions take place largely in the wilderness, which makes them difficult for spectators to enjoy – particularly if they’re in forests or on mountains.  IRONMAN AZ is unique in that at least a couple of the events are always held within the Tempe metro area itself, providing far more opportunities for visitors to take in the action.

3 – Geography

A whole lot of Arizona, particularly the desert, is flat.   Foot or bike races are almost always about speed and endurance rather than climbing.  So even events which take place outside the city usually remain highly visible to spectators, particularly if someone finds some decent high ground such as on top of a building or a nearby mesa.

And what this all adds up to is:

4 – Huge Popularity

Year after year, IRONMAN AZ is consistently the most popular IRONMAN event in the country.  It can be reliably expected to sell out early, which in turn means that there will be a lot of people all making travel reservations early as well.  Everyone wants to have the best possible views, and the most comfortable accommodations, for their IRONMAN trip.

Arizona Vacation Rentals Complete The IRONMAN Experience

Whether you’re here to compete or to spectate, why not stay in style?  Fully-furnished Arizona vacation rentals give you a luxurious home away from home, in centrally-located areas near to the event areas, while often costing not much more than a nice hotel would.  The Phoenix area has a booming rental home market, which is great for visitors.

2 – LEGOLAND Discovery Center

Get your kids to stop playing Minecraft and introduce them to the real block-building game at the LEGOLAND Discovery Center. This miniature theme part is full of opportunities for creativity,  With the recent release of the LEGO Batman movie, there’s more to do here than ever before.  Another highlight is their spectacular million-brick recreation of Phoenix!

3 – Childsplay

Tempe is home to one of the only permanent theater troupes in America – Childsplay – dedicated to children’s entertainment, putting on regular productions since 1977.  It’s a great way to introduce kids of all ages to the fun of live theatrical performances, and there’s plenty of interactivity to keep them interested as well.  Plus, adults might find themselves having fun too!

4 – Tempe Town Lake

Don’t forget all the wonderful natural attractions around the Tempe area!  The Tempe Town Lake is open to the public and features a large number of rentable watercraft, with something for children and teens of all skill levels on the water.  It’s among the most popular attractions for families in Tempe, particularly during the summer.

Scottsdale Arts Festival Is Right Around The Corner!

by weRentAZ | 16th December, 2016
People around the country are just beginning to learn what a well-kept secret the greater Phoenix/Scottsdale art scene has become.  While other “weird” cities like Portland and Austin are beginning to get over-exposed and over-commercialized, local arts and music in Arizona are flourishing.

If you’ve never gotten a taste of the Arizona arts before, the perfect opportunity is right around the corner:  The Annual Scottsdale Arts Festival.

See The Best And Brightest Of Arizona At The Arts Festival!

Running throughout the weekend of March 10-12, 2017, the Scottsdale Arts Festival has a huge variety of things to do that will please just about any arts-lover in the family.   As one of the biggest such festivals in the year here, it regularly attracts all our top acts and artists.

At the Scottsdale Arts Festival, you’ll get to experience:

Visual Arts:  There will be more than 170 separate artists showing off (and often selling) their wares in every kind of medium you might want.  Paintings, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, and even digital art will all be represented.

Music:  The Phoenix/Scottsdale area is particularly coming to be known for its thriving music scene, and you’ll get to hear nearly-nonstop music from many of the state’s greatest up-and-coming indie bands along with some older favorites.

Food:  There are plenty of culinary delights to sample as well, from full settings to a variety of food trucks and stands.  Every year showcases the uniqueness of Arizona cuisine, with its mix of southwestern, classic, and modern styles.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.  There’s also going to be an art auction, walking tours of the city, interactive art activities for the kids, a giant games garden, and so much more.

Plus, it doesn’t even cost that much to attend.  Prices are currently $15 for a two-day pass, $5 for students, and children under 12 are free.

Stay In Style While You Experience Scottsdale Culture

The Scottsdale area also has a large number of fantastic rental homes available for vacations, at surprisingly low prices!  For a large family or group of friends, it’s frequently no more expensive than several decent hotel rooms.

You get full bedrooms, fantastic kitchens, fully-furnished living\game areas, and potentially even outdoor perks like BBQ areas or a swimming pool!  The houses are centrally-located too, making it easy to explore the city.

Want a Cost-Effective Family Spring Break? Rent a Home in Arizona!

by weRentAZ | 30th November, 2016

Every year, Arizona becomes an increasingly popular spring break destination – and it’s little wonder why!  Springtime is one of the best possible times to visit Arizona.  It’s warm enough to be pleasant, without the heat of the summer.   Plus, the desert blooms in the spring – often blanketing valleys with bright flowers that may only last a few weeks.

Beyond the beauty of the desert, the Phoenix area is a booming cultural center – one of the fastest-growing in the country.  We have our own southwest-flavored independent arts and music scene, along with plenty of shopping.  And that’s not to even mention the Cactus League and Camping World 500 for the sports fans!

There’s a lot a family could do in Phoenix over Spring Break… and being able to save money on a place to stay while you’re here just adds to the fun you could be having.

Renting A Phoenix Home For Spring Break

The Phoenix area got hit harder than many cities in the housing crash a few years backs, which left a lot of properties in the hands of developers.  What this meant is a lot of homes being turned into rentals!  Phoenix has far more rental homes on the market than most places, which means prices are considerably lower.

If you hadn’t considered a rental home, this could be your chance.  When bringing a full family, the per-person prices could easily be equivalent -or even lower- than renting several decent hotel rooms.

You would be getting so much more for that money, as well.  Every furnished vacation home we rent is fully furnished, generally with two or three bedrooms, and with at least one couch that could add to the sleeping space.  That gives you plenty of room for the family, and maybe some friends as well.

There’s also a full kitchen and dining area, and spacious living rooms for relaxation.  Depending on the home, you might even get outdoor amenities such as a grill or barbecue pit, enclosed garage, or even a private pool.  Don’t worry about the grounds, we keep them nicely trimmed for you.

With our homes centrally-located, you’ll also be in a prime location to explore Phoenix and the surrounding natural wonders.

Whether you’re only coming for a couple days, or plan to stay for a week or two, a Phoenix rental home really is a great option.  Contact WeRentHomesAZ today for reservation information!

Arizona Vacation Rentals Complete Your Camping World 500 Trip!

by weRentAZ | 15th November, 2016

NASCAR fans throughout the southwest are already revving their engines in anticipation for next year’s premiere Cup series.  The Camping World 500 (previously the Good Sam 500) is one of the most popular early waypoints on the road towards the championship, and it’s of course being held right here in Phoenix.

The Camping World 500 is held in our very own Phoenix International Speedway, a fan favorite on the racing scene thanks to the unique geography of Arizona.  Hills surrounding the track provide a variety of great views -and often for very low prices- while the unique tri-oval “doglegged” design adds an additional twist to the race.

Plus, it’s held at a perfect time of year in the Phoenix area: mid-March.   With average lows in the low 50s and average highs in the mid-70s, you simply could not ask for more comfortable weather to enjoy the race… or even an extended Phoenix vacation.

And with prices on Arizona vacation rentals so low, that’s a tempting proposition.

Live Like A Winner During The Camping World 500

The greater Phoenix/Tempe area has far more rental homes on the market than most metro areas, which makes them a great alternative to the usual hotels and motels.

Our Phoenix vacation rental homes are fully maintained.  After all, we have to think about our property values!  The grounds are entirely taken care of by professionals, and the interior will always be immaculate when you move in.  Whether it’s just for the Camping World 500 weekend, or for an extended stay, the lawn and grounds will always be taken care of for you.

Most of our homes feature 2-3 bedrooms, and the same number of baths, so this is an excellent option for large parties or full family vacations.  On a per-person basis, it’s often cheaper than even a nice hotel.  Plus, every room is fully furnished, so there’s room on the couch for even more NASCAR fans.

You get so much more for your money as well.  Depending on the home, you could have:

  • A full-sized kitchen
  • Deluxe leather furniture
  • A full-size garage
  • Outdoor cooking facilities, like a BBQ bit or grill
  • Private swimming pool access
  • And more!

With easy access to all the sights of Phoenix, a vacation rental home is the perfect way to see the Camping World 500.

Christmas In Arizona!

by weRentAZ | 28th October, 2016

Maybe your family lives in the area.  Maybe you’re looking to do something different for the holiday.  Maybe you just want to escape the cold and have a comfortable Christmas for a change.

Whatever the reason, plenty of people come to Arizona every year to celebrate Christmas and other year-end holidays!  While it’s hot in the summer, the desert climate of Arizona is amazing during the winter months – comfortably warm during the day, and only mildly chilly at night.  It’s one of the best possible times to experience the amazing vistas of the great American southwest.

And if you are planning a trip down south this Christmas, you can make your experience even better by selecting from one of the many great Arizona homes for rent which are available!

Make A Perfect Christmas Vacation With Arizona Homes For Rent

Why consider renting an Arizona home rather than more traditional options?  There are a lot of arguments.

1 – Cost-Effectiveness

Unlike many areas, Arizona actually has a huge number of homes for rent on the market.  This keeps rental prices relatively low.  It might not be cheaper for one or two people, but if you’re bringing a family, the per-person costs become comparable -or even cheaper- than a decent hotel.

And you get so much more for your money…

2 – Plenty of Space

Even if there are relatives living in the area already, does their home have room for all the people coming to visit for the holidays?  Our vacation homes have multiple bedrooms, as well as fully-furnished spaces such as comfy couches for extra sleepers.  It’s far more comfortable than cramming people into tiny hotel rooms.

3 – Great Food Prep Areas

Every rental home comes with a fully-outfitted kitchen, with plenty of room for cooking and preparation.  It’s ideal for feeding a family.  Some homes also come with outdoor cooking areas as well, such as grills or barbecue pits.  You’ll have so many options in feeding your family.

4 – Convenient Metro Access

You’re going to want to check out local culture while you’re here.  After all, the Phoenix/Tempe area is one of the fastest-booming metro areas in the country, and with a great local arts and music scene.  Our homes are centrally-located and within easy driving distance of plenty of attractions.

Reservations are being made quickly, so time’s running out.  Contact WeRentHomesAZ today to inquire into pricing and reservation information!

Phoenix Open Is Right Around the Corner!

by weRentAZ | 14th October, 2016

There are only about three months left before the 2017 Waste Management Phoenix Open, which means now is the right time to start planning your trip!

There’s simply no other golf tournament like the Phoenix Open.  It’s the single most popular golf event of the year, and the one that’s most spectator-friendly as well.  Average attendance every year is usually at least half a million people, with the world-famous 16th hole alone set in a stadium capable of seating more than 15,000 spectators.

With those sorts of attendance numbers, a smart golf fan will be looking to book their necessary reservations early.  We can tell you from experience – if you wait until the month before the show, you’re going to have a very hard time finding accommodations anywhere in the greater Phoenix\Tempe area.  But if you book now, you can get a place to stay that’s every bit as excellent as the Phoenix Open itself.

Homes For Rent – The Best Way To Experience The Phoenix Open

The greater Phoenix area has a somewhat unique housing situation, with a far larger number of rental homes on the market than in most major metro areas.  This makes vacation homes for rent one of the best ways to experience major events like the Phoenix Open, and one that’s surprisingly affordable as well!

When you rent a home during the tournament week, you’re getting so much for your money:

1 – Convenient Locations

Our rental homes are all located in prime areas of Phoenix and Tempe, providing you with easy drives to\from the events each day.

2 – Immaculate Homes and Grounds

Unlike most hotels and motels, we have property values to worry about!  Every home we rent is kept scrupulously clean and maintained, from the front yards to the interior bathrooms.

3 – All The Amenities You Need

Our homes offer full kitchens, bedrooms, spacious baths, and more.  These vacation homes come fully-furnished, and are ready for you from the moment you arrive.

4 – Extra Conveniences And Features

So don’t wait.  Contact WeRentHomesAZ today and guarantee your reservations for the 2017 Phoenix Open!

It’s Not Too Early To Be Making Your Arizona Spring Training 2017 Plans!

by weRentAZ | 23rd September, 2016
If you’re a baseball fan, we don’t need to tell you what a big deal the Cactus League is.  No spring training event is so loved or so popular, with the Phoenix area now regularly pulling in millions of tourists who come to see their favorite teams begin the new season.

The Spring Training 2017 Cactus League schedule has already been announced and, as in previous years, there’s more great action coming up than any single fan could hope to take in.  Multiple games in a single day are happening often, meaning there is simply NO better time or place for the baseball devout to meet up.

Plus, of course, there’s plenty of minor-league action as well, which enjoys greater popularity thanks to all the baseball fans flocking to the area.

There’s every reason to think that Spring Training 2017 in Arizona will enjoy the same levels of popularity of previous Cactus League events.  Here at WeRentHomesAZ, we’re already receiving inquiries and reservations for the upcoming spring, which is why we’re urging interested baseball fans to act now to ensure they can get the best possible accommodations during the events.

Reserve A Rental Home Now For Arizona Spring Training 2017

The closer it gets to March 2017, the slimmer the accommodation choices are going to get.  Fans are going to be looking at dingy hotel rooms, and probably located a very long way from the stadiums.

On the other hand, if you know the Cactus League is in your future, you could reserve the best possible space to stay in: a fully-furnished, luxurious vacation rental home.  The greater Phoenix and Tempe area is fully of great homes to rent, each fully-maintained and immaculate when it’s time to move in.

And thanks to the huge number of rentals on the market, prices can be surprisingly low!  If you’re coming as part of a group, the rental could actually be quite comparable to a nicer hotel – except with much more in the bargain.

Our rental homes have multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, fully-decked out kitchens, and spacious living areas.  Back yards are common, often with their own amenities such as BBQ areas or even maintained swimming pools!  Plus, most of them are located within easy and convenient driving distance of the stadiums.

So, don’t put off reservations until it’s too late.  Contact WeRentHomesAZ today and ensure your Cactus League 2017 experience is extraordinary.

Have Family in the Phoenix or Tempe Area? Hold Your Thanksgiving 2016 Get-Together In Style!

by weRentAZ | 16th September, 2016

Few American traditions are more beloved and time-honored than the Thanksgiving get-together.  Very soon, people will be flying all over the country to visit their loved ones and celebrate this cherished holiday.

Of course, this can also create substantial logistical problems.  One person’s house is often not big enough to hold all the family members flying in, especially if they aren’t set up to accommodate a large number of guests.  This often means family members having to rent hotel rooms, or finding other cramped accommodations.  It adds stress and bother to a holiday which should be focused on family fun.

However, if Phoenix or Tempe, AZ, is your destination for Thanksgiving 2016, there’s a great alternative.  The greater Phoenix area has a booming market for fully-furnished rental homes, with prices often surprisingly low compared to everything you get!  One of these rental homes can easily be large enough to host an entire family, providing a convenient way to enjoy each other’s company while living the good life.

Why Rent A Tempe Home For Thanksgiving 2016

1 – No Preparation Needed

Often, preparing a person’s home to host a lot of Thanksgiving guests is more worth and trouble than even cooking the meal!  However, when you move into a rental home, everything is set up and ready the moment you arrive.  From the bedrooms to the back yard, everything is immaculate.

2 – Full Kitchens Included

The kitchen is often the focus of a rental home, so you’re not going to be dealing with cramped cooking areas.  Many homes have recently been renovated with amazing features like granite countertops!  It might even be easier to cook a full meal in a rental home than in a family’s regular house.

3 – Fully-Furnished And Beautiful Bedrooms

The bedrooms in our Tempe-area rental homes are large and immaculate, often featuring full wood or leather furnishing.  They’re spacious and comfortable, free of clutter, and waiting to give you a great night’s sleep.

4 – Backyard Amenities Available

While it varies from home to home, many of the rental houses on the market feature excellent backyards as well, giving you even more options for enjoying Thanksgiving 2016.  Outdoor cooking facilities are often included, and some homes even have swimming pools!  And in Arizona, of course, swimming is still an option even in November.

If you’re ready to do Thanksgiving 2016 in style, contact WeRentHomesAZ today for pricing and availability!

Come For the IRONMAN Tempe Competition, And Stay In Style

by weRentAZ | 9th September, 2016
IRONMAN Arizona is coming to Tempe this November, and there’s simply no better time or place to view this amazing annual triathlon.

The IRONMAN series of events around the country are a hugely popular attraction, and the multitude of competitions throughout the year give plenty of people an opportunity to spectate – or to participate.  However, IRONMAN Tempe is special even among these famous triathlons.

Why IRONMAN Tempe Tops The Rest

What makes this particular IRONMAN competition so special?  Most of their events are generally in the wilderness, which makes it difficult for spectators to enjoy the events.  However, the Tempe triathlon is largely urban, which makes it a hugely popular spectator event.

The first event is swimming, in the Tempe Town Lake, a man-made lake with a spectacular dam and plenty of viewing area.  The third event, the run, is held in the same area, with a course winding around Tempe Town Lake as well as Papago Park.  This gives fans plenty of opportunity to observe the action.

Only the second leg of the triathlon, the biking section, happens out in the Sonoran Desert.

IRONMAN Tempe is also unique due to how late in the year it occurs.  Late November might be winter in most places, but here in Arizona, it creates an absolutely perfect climate.  The days are usually comfortably cool without being cold, making it great for participants and spectators alike.  It also allows for competitors to be at the true peak of their performance, having had all of summer to prepare.

Check Out Arizona’s Legendary Spring Restaurant Week!

by weRentAZ | 10th May, 2016

Arizona is rapidly becoming known as one of the hottest spots for trends, arts, food, and culture… and this is being put prominently on display in May, with Arizona’s legendary Spring Restaurant Week!

Sponsored by the Arizona Restaurant Association, this annual event takes place during May 20-29, with dozens of restaurants across the state showing off the best in cooking.  Each participating restaurant will have its own top-caliber prix-fixe three-course meals showcasing themselves, and demonstrating why Arizona is becoming such a popular culinary destination.

Let’s spotlight a few of the best options in the greater Phoenix area!

Fine Dining In Phoenix:  Spring Restaurant Week (5/20-29)

1 – Inde Fusion (Scottsdale)

One of the area’s newest and most exciting restaurants is Inde Fusion, where eclectic offerings are their specialty.  They take a heavy dose of inspiration from Italian, Chinese, and Indian cuisines, but apply them to American favorites like shrimp, tacos, and ribs.  The result is a truly unique dining experience, and what is sure to be one of the most popular choices in this year’s Spring Restaurant Week.

2 – The Stockyards (Phoenix)

The Stockyards has been a Phoenix staple ever since they opened their doors in 1947, serving only the best in American corn-fed beef.  “Arizona’s Original Steakhouse” is a true crowd-pleaser, with all the red meat a red-blooded American can want, presented in a saloon-like building that showcases the unique history of the Southwest.

3 – Ticoz Latin Kitchen (Phoenix)

Ticoz isn’t your usual Tex-Mex!  This truly unique Phoenix restaurant has a focus that spans Central and South America, putting twists on traditional Mexican favorites with custom-blended spices and techniques.  With options like panko-breaded jalepeno-lime calamari and sherry chipotle chicken, Ticoz is a revolution in Latin cuisine.

4 – Posh Restaurant (Scottsdale)

If you think experimental cuisine is for the stuffy and pretentious, Posh Restaurant begs to differ!  This “improvisational” restaurant builds tasting menus specifically tp each patron’s tastes, with no pre-set menus.  An evening at Posh can be as fun and adventuresome as you like, while constantly dazzling with their neverending array of creative platings and dishes.

Eat In Style, Stay In Style

Rental Housing Is The Best Option For Incoming ASU Students

by weRentAZ | 8th April, 2016

If you’re a student looking to attend ASU during the 2016/17 school year, you have real alternatives to the traditional student housing.  Thanks to the large number of rental homes on the market in the greater Phoenix area, you could truly live in style while still having a conveniently short commute to campus!

Rental Housing Is The Best Option For Incoming ASU Students

When it comes to housing for the 2016/17 school year, you of course would have the traditional options at your disposal.

There’s the dorms, and all that implies.  Living in a loud, crowded space in tiny one-room “apartments” which you’re going to be sharing with at least one roommate.  Plus, there’s the multitude of rules and regulations involved, not to mention the complete lack of privacy when RAs have the power to search your room pretty much whenever they feel like it.

Yeah, some people play up the “dorm experience” as a major part of college, but we just don’t see it being worth the expense or bother.

Or there’s the nearby apartment blocks.  You at least get some privacy in those, but they’re virtually guaranteed to be poorly-maintained, as well as costing far more than an equivalent apartment anywhere else. Landlords who own near-campus housing basically have no incentive to do more than the bare minimum for their apartments’ upkeep, since there’s always demand.

But on the other hand…  for only a little more money, you could get a large fully-furnished home with all the amenities, as well as plenty of room for housemates to co-exist in comfort.  Or, to save money, look for an unfurnished home which can be cheaply outfitted with thrift-store furniture or your own furnishings.

For ASU students, it’s the best of all possible worlds.

Great Living, Great Educations

With a rental home, there’s simply no compromise.  You get a full house with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as loads of living space.  Optional bonuses are possible as well, such as real multi-car garages or even a full swimming pool.  You also get 24/7 on-call maintenance when you need help, unlike most apartments.  And with more room for roommates, you could easily find yourself in a situation where you’re paying less per-person than you would for campus housing!

So if you want housing alternatives for the 2016/17 school year, contact WeRentHomesAZ and ask about your options.

The Scottsdale Culinary Festival: Great Eats For A Great Cause

by weRentAZ | 24th March, 2016

If you’re planning on being in the greater Phoenix area in the spring, whether as a tourist or on business, you should make a point of heading to Scottsdale on April 16-17.  That’s the weekend of the Scottsdale Culinary Festival, an amazing annual event full of fun, food, and fundraising.

It’s a must-see for foodies of  all sorts!  Plus, it’s fun for the whole family, since kids under 12 get in for free.

The Awesome Scottsdale Culinary Festival

Held annually for more than three decades, the Scottsdale Culinary Festival (April 16-17) is the culmination of a spring-long series of food-related events in Phoenix.  The Festival itself features twenty different events, dozens of top and celebrity chefs from around the country, and more foods, chocolates, and wines to taste than even the most dedicated gourmand could ever work through.

Beyond the usual tastings, there’s also a full “Epicurean Expo” featuring the latest in high-tech gadgets and cooking appliances being used in some of the most progressive kitchens around the world.  Plus, of course, there’ll be a full Beer Garden as well, with hundreds of different craft and microbrews to sample.

On top of all that, the SCF also showcases Phoenix’s amazing music scene, with an impressive selection of the best bands from throughout the area, playing nearly nonstop during the Festival days.

And it’s all for a good cause.  The SCF is a registered non-profit organization, and has given out millions of dollars over the years in grants to artistic and educational ventures in Arizona.  Whether you get the affordable $10 general admission tickets, or splurge on the $115/$140 VIP tickets (with unlimited tastings and celebrity chef meet-n-greets) your money will be helping support Phoenix’s cultural heart.

The Scottsdale Culinary Festival is truly one of the tastiest attractions in the State of Arizona, and an absolute must-see.

When You Visit Phoenix, Stay In Style!

Why spend the weekend in a dingy little hotel or motel room?  Phoenix has a thriving rental home market, with plenty of gorgeous fully-furnished houses available for not much more than you’d pay for a decent hotel.  If you’re coming with a larger group, the per-person costs are often about the same…  but you’ll be getting so much more including a full kitchen and maybe even a swimming pool!

Contact WeRentHomesAZ today for all the details, pricing, and reservation information.  But act fast:  SCF weekend is popular!

Coming To The Phoenix Open? A Short Term Rental Lets You Stay In Style!

by weRentAZ | 28th January, 2016

Phoenix Open GolfIf you’re a golf fan, we don’t have to tell you how famous and popular the Waste Management Phoenix Open is. It’s one of the oldest and most-loved of the major golf tournaments, and it’s consistently one of the best-attended events in all of golf. The “greatest show on grass” frequently sees a half-million attendees or more, beyond the millions watching at home.

And, of course, the centerpiece of the WM Phoenix Open is the world-famous 16th Hole, placed within an amphitheater setting with thousands of raucous fans watching. Some of the most famous moments in golf have occurred here, with the fans enthusiastically interacting with the golfers in one of the only places where the decorum of the game can break down a bit.

That’s not the only fun to be had here in Phoenix in the first week of February. Along with the WM Phoenix Open, there’s the beloved Coors Light Bird’s Nest, an ongoing after-party and music festival that kicks off after each day’s round of golf is done. 2016’s headliners include Rascal Flatts, Dierks Bentley, Robin Thicke, and Tiesto.

If you’re a golf or music-lover, that really only leaves one question: Where to stay when you come to share in the festivities in Phoenix?

Secure Your Primary Home Before Moving Into a Phoenix Rental Home!

by weRentAZ | 25th November, 2015

Phoenix rental homeRight now, there’s a boom in Phoenix rental homes and they’re luring in people from across the country to beautiful Arizona. Some are coming for vacations and the clear desert air, and others are coming to work in one of the fastest-growing economic hubs in America. But many are leaving their homes and are here for the winter.

One thing we hate to hear about, however, is whenever one of our visitors has to leave early due to problems at their main residence. Even if you’re only leaving your primary home for a few days, it’s vital to do everything possible to safeguard it in your absence. Otherwise, you might find your vacation or work interrupted with very bad news.

This year, the state fair runs from October 16 to November 8 at the State Fairgrounds just off I-17 and I-10, and is absolutely chock full of things to do.  Whether you’re a local, a newly-arrived worker, or just here on holiday, its’s an absolute must-see.

ASU Off Campus Housing: Be A Good Tenant

by weRentAZ | 17th September, 2015

off campus housing maintenanceThere are plenty of great options in ASU off campus housing this fall, like the large number of rental homes currently available at competitive prices across the greater Phoenix metro area.  If you’re looking into this -or already signed a lease- you’re going to have a great time living in style while you study.

However, it’s important to remember that renting a house is still a significant responsibility.    Just like when renting an apartment, damage done can be deducted from your deposit, or even billed afterwards.  Being a good tenant avoids this, while ensuring the next renter gets a home that’s every bit as nice as the one you’re renting now.

With so many houses for rent in Phoenix, we’ve been seeing a huge influx of people moving into the area, both short- and long-term.  Most of the time, moving into the Phoenix area isn’t any different from anywhere else.

But during the summer, it’s another story.

Phoenix is, of course, in the middle of a desert and daily highs will almost always be over 100 degrees.  Such temperatures can be outright dangerous, especially for people engaged in strenuous activities like moving into a new rental home.

For those who aren’t accustomed to working in high temperatures, we’ve put together a list of tips for how to safely move into the houses for rent in Phoenix.

Summer Is Coming To Arizona, But You Can Still Beat The Heat!

by weRentAZ | 11th June, 2015

Arizona in summerArizona is known throughout the country for its incredible, pristine landscapes and clear, clean air.  The Phoenix area is one of the best and most popular spots in all of America for hiking and nature explorations.

Unfortunately, Arizona is also known for getting very hot in the summer.  Such is life in the desert.

However, it’s not too late to come enjoy Arizona’s natural beauty!  June is generally considered the last month where nature hiking can still be enjoyable, before the summer heat takes over entirely during July-September.   Plus, if you’re staying in one of our fully furnished homes for rent in Phoenix, that means coming home to air-conditioning!

Now, we tend to recommend new visitors avoid the Cholla Trail.  While it’s certainly unique having a mountain in the middle of the city, it’s also downright teeming with tourists this time of year.   There are much better -and much less crowded- hiking options.

Escape Winter and Come to Phoenix and Enjoy Our Spring!

by weRentAZ | 30th April, 2015

Spring in PhoenixThe calendar may say it’s spring, but it seems like a lot of the north really hasn’t gotten the message.  With temperatures still cold and clammy, and likely to remain there, perhaps it’s time to fly south to Phoenix while you still have a chance!

The Phoenix-area housing market currently has short term rentals available, which means you can get a prime rate on a beautiful rental home to stay in.  Whether you’re here for a week, or a month, or however long it takes for spring to reach the North, you can afford to live in style.

Looking for a Spring destination? Live in affordable style in a Phoenix rental home!

by weRentAZ | 16th April, 2015

Phoenix rental homeRight now is a great time to investigate homes for rent in the Phoenix area!

With the housing market in Phoenix relatively flat, and a high number of foreclosures in the area, it’s not a terribly good time to buy housing in Phoenix.  But it’s a perfect time to rent.  Property investors have been adding new rental units to the market, and that’s driving rental prices in Arizona way down.

It may be bad news for some homeowners, but it’s good news for anyone looking to come visit, whether it’s for a week, a month, or even longer.

Experience Glorious Arizona In The Spring, From Your Own Vacation Home

by weRentAZ | 2nd April, 2015

Arizona SpringOK, we’ll be the first to admit it:  It gets pretty darn hot in Arizona in the Summer.  However, Spring is another matter entirely.  Springtimes in Arizona are a mix of clear blue skies with occasional light showers, blooming desert flowers, and vistas where you can see for miles and miles.

The temperature in the Spring is just right – you won’t need a jacket except maybe at night, but without the heat of high Summer.  This is the most beautiful time of year to visit Arizona, and with a climate to match.

Plus, the Phoenix area has plenty of fully furnished houses for rent.  You get a beautiful house to stay in, to match the natural beauty all around you.

Why go dorm when you can go off campus student housing?

by weRentAZ | 19th March, 2015

messy-dorm1If you’re a new or returning student attending Arizona State University or any of the other great colleges in the greater Phoenix area, we’ve got good news:  There’s a great alternative to dorm rooms in the form of off campus student housing!

Sure, dorm life is right for some people… but not everyone appreciates the constant noise, disruption, RA meddling, visitation rules, and all the other distractions that come along with dorms.  Plus, older students or non-traditional returnees aren’t going to be terribly enthused about living with Freshmen.

Instead, consider a rental home!  Just like apartments, they can be leased for long-term stays.  Plus with a roommate or two, the costs aren’t significantly higher than dorm rooms or apartments – and you’ll have so much more space to live in!

by weRentAZ | 5th March, 2015

Phoenix Spring TrainingHey baseball fans!  If you’re looking for an excuse to escape this never-ending winter and enjoy Arizona’s temperate conditions, there’s no better reason than the start of this year’s Cactus League Spring Training!

Even though this event is purely pre-season, it routinely draws crowds that rival the biggest events in Major League Baseball.  Why?  Because anyone in the greater Phoenix area can experience more than two hundred games squeezed into a month, featuring fifteen major teams.  The participants include the Texas Rangers, Oakland As, the Cincinnati Reds, both the Cubbies and the White Sox, and of course, Arizona’s own Diamondbacks.

Plus, thanks to how easy Phoenix is to get around, and the multitude of great ball parks in the area, you’re never more than an hour away from any given game!  Catching two games in the same day is even a possibility, especially later in the month.

In fact, we’d say that the only way to make Arizona Spring Training better is by coming home in the evening to your very own Phoenix vacation rental home!

If you’re coming to the Valley of the Sun, consider Phoenix homes for rent

by weRentAZ | 8th January, 2015

Potter-4381-1-FrontageThe Phoenix, AZ area continues to be one of the fastest-growing economies in the country, with thousands of people coming to the Maricopa County area to find new jobs and new opportunities.

If you’re looking to become one of them, one of the foremost questions on your mind is likely “Where will I live?”  With the national economy still shaky, it’s a difficult question.  Investing in a home would make sense, but only if a person is relatively certain they’ll be staying in an area for a long time.

For most people, the obvious alternative is staying in an apartment or long-stay hotel, but that brings a list of problems with it… and not the least of which being the small, cramped nature of most city apartments.

However, there’s another choice:  There are plenty of Phoenix homes for rent, at reasonable prices, and with leasing terms that can accommodate virtually any job situation, whether it’s short- or long-term.  It doesn’t cost much more, and brings a lot of significant value for newcomers.

When buying renter’s insurance, you have numerous options including theft coverage, health care, and other damage done to the property.  So where does the deductible come into play?

However, if you’re coming for a lengthy stay, there are important matters to work out with the landlord beforehand, especially regarding proper treatment of the rental home.  Today, we wanted to focus on the exterior landscape, and what you should look for.

Strictly speaking, the answer is “no.”  In most cases, you are not required to purchase renter’s insurance.  However, it is a very very good idea.  The property insurance that the landlords carry does not cover any of your personal possessions.  Renter’s insurance is what keeps you, your guests and your own property safe. Off Campus Housing for Students Near ASU

by weRentAZ | 21st August, 2014

Heather #1 FrontageIf you’re attending Arizona State University and are in at least your second year, you can live in off campus housing rather than staying in the dorms – and we certainly can’t blame you if you move out.

There are options all over the Tempe and Scottsdale area for housing near ASU, and let’s be honest:  Most of them are apartments which are over-priced, under-maintained, and often in areas which are noisier than the dorms!  Sure, some people want to be surrounded by 24/7 keggers, but you’re not going to get much studying done that way.

So what’s the alternative?  Rent a house instead!  Especially if you have some roommates along, the per-person costs can be roughly equivalent to apartment living, except in vastly nicer surroundings! (more…)

Stay in Phoenix in Style with Arizona Vacation Rentals

by weRentAZ | 7th August, 2014

Phoenix housingThe desert of the American southwest features some of the most spectacular landscapes and open skies in the country, and every year, visitors flock from every part of the world to experience the fresh air and beautiful vistas for themselves.

If only the desert weren’t so hot!

Well, that’s why autumn is the best time to visit Phoenix and explore everything that Arizona has to offer. The temperatures drop off quickly over the course of October and November, offering temperate climates which are comfortable in the day and, at their coldest, merely need a light jacket at night.

It’s the best of both worlds: The clear expanses of deserts, clouds, and sky, without the baking heat. So, it’s no wonder that fall is the peak time for people to visit Phoenix, and you could be part of the fun – especially if you investigate options in Arizona vacation rentals to make the most of the experience.

Phoenix Rental Homes Keep You Out Of The Housing Market

by weRentAZ | 24th July, 2014

homes for rentAnyone who’s lived or done business in the Phoenix, AZ, area knows that the housing market here has been extremely volatile.  Phoenix has been on a roller-coaster ride since 2010, when the housing bubble popped.  Rather than crashing prices, however, something a little different happened instead.

A Quick Overview Of Today’s Phoenix Housing Market

In 2011, Phoenix was hit with some of the worst foreclosure rates in the nation, resulting in a glut of homes on the market.  Investors came in, buying up the houses for cheap… at least at first.  However, demand and interest from the investors continued to boom, and the result was a new price spike in Arizona home prices.

As a result, the Phoenix area housing market is still slow, despite the housing market recovery going on in other areas.  The glut of banks and home-flippers buying up the foreclosed homes ended up backfiring:  Prices for homes are still nearly as high as they were before the bubble popped, and fewer houses have been for sale until very recently.
